I like to work on a variety of different things and this is fueled by my membership in the Canadian Embroiderers' Guild of Guelph. Every year I can take two 6-session classes in a new technique. Thus, I learn a lot of new techniques without actually practising them long enough to become really good!I have been embroidering since my teens but being in a Guild has expanded my skills and repertoire enormously. Stitching workshops are a lot of fun, too.
General inspiration from nature or people goes without saying. For inspiration about specific fibres and techniques I peruse stitching magazines and websites or look at other art forms.
The projects I have chosen to show on the website are the ones that I was able to photograph.
